St John Ambulance is England’s leading first aid training organisation and first aid provider. With more than half of its 40,000+ members under 25, St John is also one of the largest youth movements.

Its volunteers spend thousands of hours each year ensuring public events are safe, while its Community First Response volunteers are trained to attend emergency calls received by the ambulance service, from major emergencies to car accidents, weather incidents and fires, and provide care until the ambulance arrives.

It has over 1,000 ambulance and support vehicles and regularly provides a support service to the NHS Ambulance Trust. It provides a range of patient transport services for non-emergency medical appointments. Finally, it also trains some 575,000 people each year in first aid and health and safety.
