ActionAid is an international anti-poverty charity, which works with over 13 million people in 42 countries worldwide. It works with local partners, from small community support groups to national alliances and international networks, using their local knowledge and experience to help the poorest and most vulnerable people fight for and gain their rights to food, shelter, work, education, healthcare – especially action against HIV/AIDS – and a voice in the decisions that affect their lives. It works at many different levels – local, national, regional and international – using long-term development strategies to help people overcome poverty.
