The Royal British Legion is a UK charity that provides financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces, and their dependents. It acts as a voice for service people, campaigning and working with political parties for better support for current and ex-service members.
The Legion is one of the UK’s largest membership organisations, supporting current troops as well as those who fought in the two world wars and thereafter.
It is best known for its role as the nation’s custodian of Remembrance and for the annual Poppy Appeal.
