Shelter is a charity that gives “confidential help to people with all kinds of housing problems”.
 
Seeing that it not only enough to house the homeless, but also provide proper housing, Shelter formed to address the more hidden issue of ‘unstable’ housing. Shelter operates as a lobbying body, informing renters of their rights and informing political groups of how tenant’s legal rights should improve.

With the ethos that “housing is now the key factor determining a person's health, wellbeing, and prospects in life”, Shelter campaigns for a better quality of life by ensuring/promoting appropriate housing for all.
