Unicef is an international child welfare organisation. Unicef UK runs a number of national own programmes, such as Unite Against Aids, which raises awareness on children who are affected by the AIDs epidemic, and the Baby Friendly Initiative, which encourages mothers within the UK to breastfeed. It also runs Tagd, a UK network for teenagers which also lobbies and campaign for children’s rights.
