Every year one of the category winners is crowned as the Overall Winner of that year’s Charity Awards. The chosen charity or campaign is the one that stands out for the judges in terms of its innovation, leadership, impact, scalability, sustainability and operational excellence. Charities that have won the Overall Award must beat off very stiff competition for this prestigious prize and should be enormously proud.
The judges also choose each year to recognise an individual from the sector who has demonstrated Outstanding Leadership. This too is a very select group, comprising instigators and innovators who have achieved great things themselves and inspired others along the way - the crème de la crème of the sector.
